The War on Health, Choice, and Common Sense Pt 11 The Vibes of Truth
Tuesday Jun 12, 2018
Tuesday Jun 12, 2018
In this episode, we take a look at the reality that no matter how much you want to change everything about yourself, society, indeed, the world, you will tend to end up being your parent. For try as hard as you can, you cannot fully escape the gravitational tug your parents demand on your emotional energy and worldview. You may hate everything your parents represent but even that's not a powerful enough counterforce to launch you into your own orbit. Let's face it! Your parent’s DNA is your DNA. So are there predispositions and prejudices. By the time you reach adulthood you realize your fight is the fight to be free of all influence but your own. So, you rebel. You rebel against all authority in a feeble attempt to wrest away any power or control you believe anyone or anything has over you, particularly your parents. You're not going to budge an inch because you know some "well-meaning" adult will rush in to take a mile. But you are young, which means you are still sorting through a lot of things. Still, self-editing. Still striving to figure out who you are and where you stand in the grand scheme of things. Yet, this doesn't stop you from stitching together a persona from the discarded scrap pieces of the American tapestry's cult of personality. Thus, you become more Kim Kardashian than your mom. More Drake than your dad. You feel independent because you are now light years away from your upbringing. Galaxies away from your familial gravity.

The War on Health, Choice, and Common Sense Pt 10 American Obsession
Tuesday Jun 05, 2018
Tuesday Jun 05, 2018
"Obsession is the single most wasteful human activity because with an obsession you keep coming back and back and back to the same question and never get an answer." -Norman Mailer
There is a war on health, choice and common sense in America. It is a war that is unremitting and expensive. Not just in terms of individual lives, but equally in wasted human potential. The cost of this particular war far exceeds the price of any war ever fought in the history of civilization. Oddly, this war is mostly covert, invisible to the undiscerning eye, because its battlefield is internal. However, the casualties of this war are well-known. Names like cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and depression readily come to mind. Let’s face it, there are interests in this country who would like you to believe that war is the answer to every problem, or, at the very least, the end of all conflict. But that simply isn’t true. War is not the answer. Though, the American propaganda machine will tell you otherwise. America has declared war on cancer, drugs, terrorism, sex trafficking, even fake news. But these are mostly false flags because the real war is about control and profits. The real war is over self-care versus healthcare.

The War on Health, Choice, and Common Sense Pt 9 Brain Hacking
Tuesday May 29, 2018
Tuesday May 29, 2018
In this episode, We raise the question is your brain being hacked? Think about what that makes you think about. What we do know is that human beings have a psychological toolbox for handling the circumstances of daily life, with some capacity to confront change. We can feel truth emotionally yet explain it away intellectually. Children don’t just draw what they see, they draw from what they feel. Adults, on the other hand, detach what they feel from what they see, and therein lies the conflict. Free speech is really not free— nothing is! There is an effect for every cause— a consequence for every action. If I give you the answers to an exam, you may pass the exam, but you will flunk the real test—Because the real test is a test of character.

The War on Health, Choice, and Common Sense Pt 8 Is PC Speech Killing You?
Tuesday May 22, 2018
Tuesday May 22, 2018
In this episode,
We take a closer look at the cultural phenomenon known as political correctness. PC speech challenges the constitutional right, and frankly, human right to free speech. But to change the way you talk actually change the way you behave? And more importantly, to change what you say to other’s change the way you feel about them, or does it change something deeper within you? And if changing what you say doesn’t change what you believe or who you are, are you simply living a lie? And what happens when you live inauthentically? And could there be a correlation between self-deception and the abuse of psychiatric drugs that are driving the culture of sickness in America? Is it possible that PC speech may be killing you?

The War on Health, Choice, & Common Sense Pt 7 What Do You Want?
Tuesday May 15, 2018
Tuesday May 15, 2018
In this episode, I take a closer look at the question what do you want?
If you have ever wanted to make a change in your life: You want to lose weight. You want to make a shift financially. You want to feel loved again. And you find yourself getting excited about the thought of what change will bring, but you never do anything about it, then there is something holding you back. I don’t know what it is. It could be fear of failure or fear of success, for that matter. Whatever it is, it begins with self-examination, brutal honesty, and asking yourself tough questions like what do I want? Because no matter what you think about you or the world around you, every choice you make from what you wear, to what job you take, to how much you weigh, to how much money you earn, to what spouse you marry, to how you vote— All are based on two things: What you believe and what you value.

The War on Health, Choice, & Common Sense Pt 6 Why Guys Really Go To The Gym
Tuesday May 08, 2018
Tuesday May 08, 2018
We don't talk about the needs of men because even if we did who would listen?
Who would care?
We don't talk to men nor do men talk to each other. They talk at each other.
So, why do men really go to the gym?
If you thought the answer to that question would be obvious, you'd be wrong.
Ok. Is it to pick up women? Wrong!
Is it to get big and buffed? You'd only be partially right.
Then it's gotta be for health and fitness. Again, you'd only be half correct.
What men really want from the gym is not really something the gym offers. Still, that's where most go to find it.

The War on Health, Choice, & Common Sense Pt 5 "The Age Clock"
Tuesday May 01, 2018
Tuesday May 01, 2018
Most people aren’t aging as much as they’re growing old...
That’s because most have accepted the false narrative that you are supposed to decline with age. The same misperceptions that people with eating disorders have when the mental image of their body is so wrong that they refuse to eat, is the same misinformation that fosters a negative self-image of aging. What really bothers me, however, is that this wrong-thinking, comparatively to anything physical, is what leads to not only premature aging but the wholesale acceptance of aging as a loss of value and vitality.

The War on Health, Choice, & Common Sense Pt 4 "Body Shaming"
Tuesday Apr 24, 2018
Tuesday Apr 24, 2018
“The past several decades have largely revolved around an “ideal” body image that involves skinny women (stick-thin actresses; the heroin-chic waif; or tall, lean, and tanned Victoria’s Secret models), but thankfully, there’s been some pushback from women all over the world who are tired of glorifying impossible female figures.” The new body-positive movement aims to overturn these outdated standards for women and represent bodies of all shapes and sizes in the media. The problem with a body-positive movement is that it bucks against tradition. And no matter how intellectually liberated a person becomes, they will still be emotionally traditional.
