Strategy #8: The human brain doesn’t distinguish between a “good” habit or a “bad” habit, it simply learns through the repetition of either good or bad. What we call “burn out” is not caused by working long hours, being tired of the nonsense, or playing the political game, it is caused by what one author deems as “conspicuous consumption.” Fact is, you have been educated and socially-engineered to be a consumer.

You may not think there’s a correlation between education and your health, but you’d be wrong. The main reason I do this show is to provide you with a counter-education so that you can reclaim your power over your health, fitness, and well-being. The trap, indeed the gap in your education, has more to do with misinformation and miseducation than it does with your not knowing something. This isn’t about ignorance as much as it is a lack of awareness. And what is that lack of awareness? The disconnect comes in the form of your wholesale acceptance of the status quo relative to health. But particularly, fitness. The fact that you think about your physical image before you think about your self-image proves my point.

Episode 53: Strategy 6, USE THE EMOTIONAL SIDE.
Most of the time, we live in an exterior world of dreams and expectations. We imagine that the life we say we want to live is really the life we want. But oftentimes, what we think we want has been grafted into us by the world. The emotional register has been used to open the door to your unconscious and subconscious mind for the implantation of ideas, desires, fears, anxieties, compulsions, and behavior.

When we come to a critical fork in the road – whether or not to steal, cheat, retaliate, take a risk, quit a job, begin to take control of our health, revise for an exam, or remain in an abusive relationship – minor variations can make all the difference, nudging us one way or another. At decisive moments, an attentive friend, an inspiring book, a caring teacher, a strong role model, a smiling stranger, even good weather or a long night’s sleep, may be enough to either prevent us from reaching our potential or assist us to walk boldly into our destiny.

In this episode, we consider Noam Chomsky’s 5th strategy of Media Manipulation, “Come To The Public As A Little Child.” We further connect the dots by examining how children are used on the frontline as Silent Weapons in a Quiet War.

Like sheep, human beings tend to conform to the politics of the pack in order to survive. Though life is about adaptation and conformity, human conformity is something entirely different. Humans adapt, survive, and evolve individually. Yet that alone cannot guarantee their individuality.

Our bodies are forgiving in ways we can’t even imagine...
We can abuse them with drugs, alcohol, and tobacco for years, and then the miraculous happens. One day, we sign up for a Twelve-step program, or we go “cold turkey.” And guess what? Our bodies begin to heal themselves. Not from any program or a nicotine patch— the miraculous happens the moment we take the first step to change ourselves.

In this episode, I examine Strategy #2 of Noam Chomsky’s, 10 Strategies of Media Manipulation. Strategy # 2 deals specifically with the media’s purposeful manipulation of our emotions and thought life through the creation of problems, while later offering solutions. But this isn’t the media acting alone. Corporate America, too, plays a major role in what we think, feel, see, hear, perceive as reality, as well as how we process this information and thus act out in the world.

In this episode, I examine the term "war casualty" as it applies to any person who is lost to a military unit by having died or been severely injured from wounds or disease. But particularly, as it applies to men. The precipitous rise in disease and drug abuse, as well as addiction in America, is a telltale sign of hostile as well as non-hostile war casualties. Yes, we are in a war for our health and wellbeing, and either we don't care, or we don’t even know it.

The War on Health, Choice, and Common Sense Pt 12 The Strategy of Distraction

Tuesday Jun 19, 2018
In this episode, I look at the many ways distractions are manufactured in our daily lives. In fact, In America, there are a million and one ways to distract yourself. All are familiar with the obvious distractions like television and Social Media for it is estimated that nearly 25% percent of the average person’s day is consumed by either them looking at a small screen or a large one. Yet for men, in particular, there is arguably no greater distraction than sports. Professional sports have been elevated to the level of a Demi-god in American culture, which means they are tantamount to idol worship. For most men, sports are also an extension of their identity. After all, men often define themselves by what they do as opposed to who they are. Sports are also one of the ways men compete and bond with other men. For example, if your Father is a Cowboy’s fan, then chances are you bleed blue and white too. In this regard, Sports is generational. But sadly, one’s favorite team or player might also be the only legacy a man leaves behind to his son or daughter.
