Episode 65 - The American Drug Crisis Pt 4 Trick or Treat
Tuesday Oct 30, 2018
Tuesday Oct 30, 2018
Dangerous drugs are increasing on school playgrounds, leaving many kids targets of small dealers who are looking for new customers, hoping to turn our children into lifelong consumers. A drug that goes by the street name of Strawberry quick or strawberry meth is now surfacing nationwide. It looks a lot like pop rocks and kids are ingesting it thinking it's candy. Other kids are handing it out, also thinking its candy. Drug dealers want our kids to try it - even for free - so that they will become hooked and thus future buyers. Get familiar with your kid's friends and ask them questions about their day. If you see something that looks unusual or you notice behavioral or attitudinal changes in your child, don’t hesitate to intervene. As a parent, it is your responsibility to take decisive action and, if necessary, report anything suspicious to law enforcement and your school administration.

Episode 64 - The American Drug Crisis Pt 3 "The Zombie Drug"
Tuesday Oct 23, 2018
Tuesday Oct 23, 2018
I have often discussed on this show how the phrase art imitates life has been flipped in our modern-day culture and now it seems more accurate to think in terms of life imitating art. One example of this is the rising popularity of the Zombie. From movies like the Rise of the Zombies and World War Z to mega-hit TV shows like The Walking Dead to video game franchises like Resident Evil, Americans seem to be obsessed with the walking dead. But this is where it gets really interesting. There is a relatively new street drug that has also seen a spike in popularity. Its street name is Gravel because of its lumped-up appearance that looks like grainy pebbles or gravel in a fish aquarium. Its legal name is Flakka and it is known as the “Zombie drug’ because of its ability to induce states of euphoria and, in many cases, almost super-human strength. Coincidence? Take a listen then you decide.

Episode 63 - The American Drug Crisis Pt. 2 The NEED FOR SPEED
Tuesday Oct 16, 2018
Tuesday Oct 16, 2018
Our children have completely bought into the lie that the only way to get ahead in life is to be better than someone else, and that the only way to be better than someone else is to work harder, and that the only way to work harder, is to burn the candle at both ends, and the only way to burn the candle at both ends, is to set one’s brain on fire with the need for speed.

Episode 62 - The American Drug Crisis Pt. 1 The Opioids
Tuesday Oct 09, 2018
Tuesday Oct 09, 2018
Last year alone more Americans died from drug overdose than those who died during the entire Vietnam War conflict. This presents an interesting juxtaposition because allegedly America has had a decades-long war on drugs. If this is true, then those who claim to be fighting the war on drugs are surely losing. The latest epidemic to rear its ugly head and to find its way into the common vernacular is opioids. Opioids thrust themselves onto the national stage when former legendary rock star Prince was pronounced dead after being diagnosed with an overdose of opioids. Only then was the public made aware of how pervasive the opioid crisis is. From celebrities to the elderly to those millions of Americans who are diagnosed with chronic pain daily and prescribed opioids, this drug crisis runs much deeper than what appears on the surface.

Have you ever listened to a song that drummed up negative memories about an Ex or a negative experience and you had to turn it off because of how it made you feel? Well, that’s precisely what I’m talking about. Music has the power to usher in a flood of emotions which bathe our cells with positive energy or stunts them with negative energy. And each and every time we allow ourselves to be inundated by negative energy whether, from a conversation or the music we listen to, we should remember that our brains don’t distinguish between the source, it simply records our emotional experiences. And those emotional experiences affect every cell in our bodies to either create greater energy and life or emotional fatigue (“burnout”) which leads to both emotional and cellular senescence.

In this episode, We further explore the healing power of music and resonance sounds also known as solfeggio frequencies. The human voice is music without lyrics until we express ourselves through language then we create a musical composition that either offers healing or disease. So, we’ve also embedded a TEDxTalk from esteemed Music therapist, Dr. Deforia Lane who takes us on a journey inside University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center to experience firsthand the response of patients to music therapy: hear of music's effects on an unborn child; hear the reaction of a laryngectomy patient; see how therapeutic singing helps a man with stroke to speak again. Dr. Lane shares her personal challenge with cancer and how music benefited her healing. She ends with a probing question for each all who will hear. Music Therapy

Episode 59 - Why What You Listen To Affects Your Health Pt. 1
Tuesday Sep 18, 2018
Tuesday Sep 18, 2018
In this episode, you will learn the elements of sound and why what you listen to affects your health.
What we listen to affects our health in ways we can’t imagine. From the conversations we engage in, to the music we listen to; every sound or note is pregnant with vibrational frequencies that either elevate our consciousness or suppress our growth as human beings. Still, it is our brains response to those vibrating molecules which either contribute to our bodies defenses or conquers our ability to defend ourselves from those diseases that destroy both body and soul.

Episode 58 - How We Heal
Tuesday Sep 11, 2018
Tuesday Sep 11, 2018
What do you think of when you hear the word healing?
If you’re religious, you’re likely to think in terms of the miraculous. If you’re irreligious, you’re likely to think of the body’s innate ability to recover from illness, injury, or disease. But neither perspective is wrong. The word healing (literally means to make whole). It is the process of restoration of health from imbalance. We all have been broken either physically or emotionally at some point and time in our lives. So where do you go when you need to heal? Do you go see your doctor? Or do you rush to the arms of a loved one for comfort and emotional strength? With all the medical technology and breakthroughs, one of the great mysteries of life still remains which is the understanding of not why we heal, but how we heal.

The purpose of this entire series entitled, “The War on Health, Choice, and Common Sense,” comes down to two realities encapsulated by two words, “Know Thyself!” In a nutshell, this is what the war is all about. The War on Health, Choice, and Common Sense attempts to grapple with the single question who knows you better? Will it be you knowing yourself or will it be the world knowing you better than you know yourself? And the second part of the question is who will control you based on what they know?

MEDIA MANIPULATION Strategy #9 Strengthen Self-Blame
The transition from narcissism to failure to self-blame is nearly imperceptible. Much of it takes place on a subconscious level. The embarrassment and blow to your self-worth manifests in a myriad of ways—in all ways— and our bodies response to such failure can even mimic physical pain. So, we respond in ways that mask the pain of failure rather than learn from it. There is a Korean proverb when translated says that “Tears are a manifestation of gratitude.” What do you think? Are tears a manifestation of gratitude? Well, in this culture, probably not. Tears are often seen as a sign of weakness and failure in American culture.
