Ep. 88 - "No Pain, No Gain"
Tuesday May 28, 2019
Tuesday May 28, 2019
Our approach to working-out should always take into consideration our genetic attributes as well as their limitations. Which brings me to my main point. It’s hard to believe that in 2019, there are people out there who still believe that unless they can barely walk after a workout then it wasn’t effective. Not only do most personal trainers preach this, but it is also their primary workout philosophy.

Ep. 87 - Choices That Heal Or Kill pt. 2
Tuesday May 21, 2019
Tuesday May 21, 2019
None of the choices we make are made in a vacuum. Which is to say, every choice you make has a rippling effect in our lives as well as in the lives of those around us. When we think about the profound impact our choices have on our lives, we often overlook the choices we didn’t make. Imagine the good that would have resulted in your life, in the world, had you made those choices to do what you knew was right for you then. The world may have shouted you down, but it is you who failed to act. Now, you have to decide what’s your next step going forward. You can either remain stuck in the mire of bitterness and self-pity or recommit yourself to taking full control of your life by making those choices that either heal or kill.

Ep. 86 - Choices That Heal Or Kill pt.1
Tuesday May 14, 2019
Tuesday May 14, 2019
Are your choices enhancing or hindering your progress? Are you where you want to be in life or where you thought you’d be at this point in your life? One of the major reasons people struggle to overcome self-created mental blocks is most believe thinking and learning are disciplines that belong to the world of academia, so once they graduate high school or college, learning and thinking are no longer required, with the small exception of learning a new skill for a job. How sad. What they don’t teach you in school, however, is introspection— how to think critically about you. Not how to criticize and over-analyze every choice you make, but how to stop and observe the choices you are making.

Ep. 84 - Does Your Body Know Your Age?
Tuesday Apr 23, 2019
Tuesday Apr 23, 2019
Does your body know how old you are is an interesting question for sure, but can what you believe change the way your body thinks or performs? About a week ago, I was listening to a sports talk show called, “Undisputed.” “Undisputed,” is moderated by Jenny Taft and hosted by former NFL Hall-of-Famer, Shannon Sharpe along with renowned sports journalist, Skip Bayless. In this particular episode, they opened the show with a heated debate about Tom Brady, the future hall-of-fame quarterback from the New England Patriots. His trainer made some “outrageous statements” about Tom Brady’s ability to play until he’s 50-years of age because his brain believes he is much younger than his actual chronological age which is 41.

Ep. 83 - The Truth the Food Industry Doesn't Tell You
Tuesday Apr 16, 2019
Tuesday Apr 16, 2019
It’s nearly impossible to keep track of all lies and misleading commercial ads we’ve been exposed to by the food industry. There are times where they have misinformed us taking advantage of our ignorance. And there are times when their willful negligence has been deliberate. What you may not know is that the food industry is controlled by only10 companies. Almost every large food and beverage brand is controlled by them. They are— Nestle, PepsiCo, Coca Cola, Unilever, Danone, General Mills, Kellogg’s, Mars, Associated British Foods, and Mondelez. Each employs thousands, and each makes billions of dollars in revenue every year.
